Going Green | My 2017 Trend Crush

Brides are going green and I’m falling in love with it! They are beginning to embrace green hues and are incorporating it into bouquets, colour schemes, invitations, decorations, bridal party outfits and more. Whether accented with pops of colours or going full green, it’s beautiful.

This colour trend is not surprising since PANTONE announced ‘Greenery’ as their Colour of the Year. According to PANTONE’s website, “Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors, the fortifying attributes of Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate… Greenery is nature’s neutral… A life-affirming shade, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions and vitality.”

Personally, I’m crushing hard on the greenery trend when it’s applied to bouquets. The look is unexpectedly beautiful and I’m crushing hard on the inclusion of succulents or herbs. Let’s hope this trend stick around at least for a little while!
