Rustic Hervey Bay Wedding

Felicia & Sam | Rustic Purnella Park Coachhouse Wedding

Felicia & Sam were recently married at the Purnella Park Coachhouse in Takura, just outside of Hervey Bay, Queensland. They opted for this gorgeous venue due to its privacy and rustic feel and it really was the perfect backdrop for their big day. Jessica Gunn Photography has done an amazing job at capturing the emotions of the day. Congrats Felicia & Sam, and thank you for sharing with us!

How and where did you meet? We met through a mutual friend and it turned out we lived 2 houses away.

What do you love most about each other?

Felicia: I love Sam so much, he makes me feel like I’m the only girl in the world and I know he would do anything he could for me to make me feel special. He brings out the best in me and I can be myself with him, couldn’t imagine life without him. He is my best friend!

Sam: It’s hard to pick just one quality in Felicia, I love – the look in her eyes when she smiles, her love for animals, her kind heart towards others, putting up with me, for sticking by my side and supporting me through all the best and worst times of my life, she’s my best friend and I can’t live without her.

Describe your first date: Our first date was a trip to Hervey Bay, Dinner on the beach watching the sunset

Describe the proposal: Sam proposed at a picnic table we would always go to, it is our favourite spot. He even carved ‘SM 4 FP’ into the tree.

Rustic Hervey Bay Wedding

Where did you get married? We chose to get married at Purnella Park Coachhouse because of how beautiful it is and we just fell in love with the place and the atmosphere. Also, because it is quite private.

Tell us about your dress: Oh my gosh I just love my dress. It was the first one I tried on and I just knew it was the one, I did try a few others on but nothing compared. It was a perfect fit with intricate beading on the bodice and I loved how it just moved with me, and my cathedral veil just made it even more perfect.

What was the decorating style for your wedding? We went for an elegant, rustic style.

What was your biggest indulgence? HONEYMOON! UK here we come! We are going there for ten days and I seriously can’t wait!

What’s your favourite memory from your wedding day? I have so many favourite memories from the day, but one of my favourite parts was when Sam surprised me with 4 vases of flowers and being serenaded by one of his best friends with our wedding song. Walking down the aisle to see my  husband-to-be standing there with all of our family and friends who joined us to witness our marriage was also a highlight.
